Church Studio Franklin

Church Studio Franklin was established by Patricia and Charles Zuber as a multipurpose artspace. The studio itself is contained within a heritage building that was originally built by the Methodists. In the 1970s it became a Uniting Church and in 1990 it was sold. Attached to the Church is the old church hall which is now home to Patricia and Charles.Working from plans prepared by the architect Giles Newstead, local builder Keven McMullen, has added new facilities within the body of the church. This has created a space that can be used for guest accommodation, studio practice, artists in residence programs, exhibitions and workshops. The build and development of Church Studio Franklin is documented on: http://churchstudiofranklin.blogspot.com.
